My Latest Review

Ms. Lisa was awesome!!!! If you want a Nurse Midwife who is confident in what she’s doing, knowledgeable about what she is doing, communicative, and provides great care along the way, Ms. Lisa is the home-birth midwife for you!!! My Labor was 35.5 hours and she was there every step of the way, but we had to get to that point right? Here is just a brief summary (this won’t even do her justice but I’ll try) of why I would recommend her…

I am a first time mom and was new to the home-birth experience. She was with me every step of the way. The continuity of care was bar none. The prenatal visits were informative and Ms Lisa let me know what to expect during each trimester as I continued to grow my little bundle of joy. She gave me wholistic alternatives to challenges I was facing as far as blood pressure, back pain and trouble sleeping. She made sure I had recommendations on what to expect with the home birth process and used evidence-based practice to provide the basis for her approach.

My labor was 35.5 hours. After dilating to only 6 cm after about 18 plus hours, Ms. Lisa rechecked me and recognized that my baby wasn’t positioned properly to enter the birthing canal. We used various positions to help baby get in the right position for delivery. Thank God she knew these various methods, the last one was a success and it was time to push….

After baby was born she called on another great midwife, KeKe, who was also a gem!!! One focused on me postpartum while the other focused on the baby. I did tear so they stitched me up and now it looks back to normal. I couldn’t be more happy!

I had postpartum visits up until six weeks and as a new mom, I would contact Ms. Lisa with questions. She was always thorough in her explanations both during and after the birth. Sometimes she called to check on me even when I didn’t expect it!!! All in all, if I had to do it all over again I would choose Ms. Lisa and her team every time!!!
